Membership Fees:

Membership categories and annual fees (GST included) are as follows:

Full membership $500 (1/2 price deal available for new members T&C's apply)

Intermediate membership (6 days not including Saturdays) $450

Restricted membership (5 days not including weekends) $425

Student / concession card (under 25 - must produce evidence) $100

Junior member (under 14) FREE!

Junior member (14-16) $40

Social membership (non-playing) $30

Golf cart storage is available. Please contact the club if interested.

The Saturday competition for Men & Ladies commences from 7:00am to 1:00pm - green fees players may be on the course during these hours

The Men's Tuesday competition starts at 9:00am

The Ladies Wednesday competition starts at 9:00am

 

Applying For Membership:

To become a member of the Woodend Golf Club complete an application form, (for an application form please email a request  to the  club using the 'Contact Us' section) and forward the form & membership fees to the club’s Secretary. Your membership will be considered by the Committee, and the application form displayed in the club for 21 days. Temporary membership will be granted in the interim. Once approved, you will be notified. The full subscription is from the 1st of April to the last day of March in the following year.

 

Notes On Membership Application:

The full subscription is from 1st of April to the last day of March the following year. Pro-rata subscriptions apply for membership applications received after 30th June. Payment of fees must accompany your applications. If an application is rejected, all money will be refunded.

 

Your Entitlements:

Membership entitles you to use the course and the clubhouse. You are also eligible to enter any competition run by the Woodend Golf Club (a handicap is required and competition fees will apply). You may invite guests to the course. Full members can vote at general meeting and stand for office.

 

Your Obligation:

We ask that you look after the course, are considerate of your fellow members and where possible, participate in the running of the club.

 

Competitions and Events:

Woodend Golf Club has a full and varied program of events throughout the year. You are welcome to join in. Major events include the Club championships, single and double knockout matchplay, plus a medal event every month. A program will be provided with your membership.

 

Obtaining A Handicap:

There is no obligation to obtain a handicap, however you will need one to play in any club competitions. To obtain a handicap you must return three scorecards that have been marked and signed by a current member.

 

Rules Of Golf:

The Woodend Golf Club plays according to the rules established by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and the United States Golf Association. The club realises that it may take new golfers time to become familiar the rules of golf. Please feel free to ask other members or club officials about any rule you may not understand.

Local rules may also apply. These will be posted prominently in the clubhouse.

Etiquette:

Good etiquette is meant to maximize the safety of golfers, keep play moving at a reasonable place and to keep the course in good condition. The general rule is that you should treat others as you would like to be treated. This includes not distracting other who are about to play a shot, or unduly causing delay to your fellow players or any following groups.

 

Dress Code:

The dress rules at Woodend Golf Club are generally relaxed, however we do ask that you present yourself in a neat an tidy manner. A few standards do apply:

- The minimum dress requirement on course and in the clubhouse is neat, tidy, clean casual dress.

- Soft spike golf shoes and runners are recommended. Metal Spikes are banned to protect the course.
